Exclusive German Apogee Sound distributor Desch Beschallungstechnik assisted with the sale and installation of an Apogee/THX MPTS-1 (Motion Picture Theater System-One) for the reference room of Sony Music, Frankfurt.

Designed by THX Division of Lucasfilm Ltd. and manufactured by Apogee Sound, Inc., the MPTS-1 is a loudspeaker monitoring system especially suited to mixing and evaluating sound accompanying film and video programming. Based on the highly successful approach taken in over 600 installations of the THX Sound System Program throughout the world, the new system offers for the first time a compact, more easily installed design capable of meeting all national and international standards for such monitoring.

Jurgen Desch of Desch Beschallungstechnik states, "After extended listening tests conducted on several systems in their own reference room, the Director of Sony Music Frankfurt selected Apogee's MPTS-1 as the system of choice for this prestigious installation."
