SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 27, 2007) – The 28th annual Exotic Erotic Ball and Expo, the internationally acclaimed Celebration of Flesh, Fetishand Fantasy, and - according to E! Entertainment TV - “ The World's #1 Wildest and Sexiest Party,” has announced its 2007 talent lineup. The full weekend of exhilarating and eye-popping exotic and erotic entertainment occurs at the Cow Palace in San Francisco on Halloween Weekend, Friday afternoon, October 26, with the Exotic Erotic Expo, and concludes Saturday night, October 27, with the Exotic Erotic Ball. "The Ball" has been titillating San Francisco audiences with arousing amusement for over a quarter-century, and is widely considered the #1 adult-themed party event in the world. The 2007 Ball is being produced in association with XFANZ. The "Expo" is a two-day event which begins Friday at Noon, features its own entertainment lineup, in addition to over 100 exhibits showcasing the latest in exotic fashion, erotic art, adult products, games, websites, and novelties, and is being sponsored by XBiz.com.
Snoop Dogg will perform live at the Expo on Friday night as part of a benefit performance for The Healing Circle, and other Bay Area charities. Snoop will return the next night as a special guest at the Ball, where he will join Tera Patrick and Danny Bonaduce as judges of the Ball's world famous costume contests. Other musical performances include the Bay Area debut of The Spyderz (the latest rock troupe from Evan Seinfeld, ex- Biohazard frontman and star of HBO's hit series, Oz ), America's Favorite DJ Donald Glaude, the all-little person tribute band Mini-Kiss, and - as part of its new mission to help discover and promote the best in sexy independent bands - the Ball has joined forces with indie-music powerhouse SonicBids and is presently reviewing submissions from hundreds of hopeful applicants, two of whom are guaranteed slots at the Ball, as winners of the Ball's first-ever Indie Music competition.
In addition to all the festivities that take place at the Exotic Erotic Ball & Expo, there is also a serious side, where serious issues are discussed, and important monies are raised. Since its inception in 1979, the Ball has donated and raised over a million dollars to causes that include personal freedom, equality, and first amendment rights. In 2007, one of the highlights of the show will be a live benefit performance by Snoop Dogg, and the primary beneficiary is a local Bay Area organization selected by Snoop and his Bay Area producer and friend, JT the Bigga Figga.
"We're excited about Snoop Dogg's performance and of course, we love the music," says Ball producer Howard Mauskopf, "but more important to us is that this has turned into a true case of an artist doing the right thing. Snoop's people came up with the idea that all the money would go to neighborhood charities - directly into the hands of mothers who have lost children to inner city violence. The organization is called The Healing Circle, and it provides support for mothers so easily forgotten by society, the real victims of violent crime. This is the kind of charity you don't read about in the society pages - this is money that helps change people's lives. Snoop is doing a wonderful thing, and we're just glad the Ball can help."
"Snoop knows that every single move he makes is big news," adds JT the Bigga Figga, hip hop producer and Vice President of Doggystyle Records, who is working with the Ball on Snoop's benefit performance. "Snoop can take the easy way and give to some big popular charity with a hundred other celebrities involved. But that's not what Snoop is about. Snoop is about getting real results you can see in the communities he cares about. He is all about the neighborhoods. He's about educating them and helping to fix them. This is his roots, and he will never ever forget his roots."
The 2007 show also emphasizes the Ball's commitment to independent music via its first-ever arrangement with SonicBids. “We know that the Ball is a visible gig,” says founder Perry Mann. “Each year, we get hundreds of requests from bands wanting to play, and we get inundated with DVD's, CD's, mp3's, and links. We don't have the manpower to sift through those submissions, and this has always bothered us, because we do have a commitment to the indie music market. So we hooked up with SonicBids – in 2007, every submission thru SonicBids gets listened to and rated for our purposes, plus - every band has a real electronic press kit, so we can instantly see video, see photos, read bio's, and it's all online so we don't have to switch between different mediums. We are reserving two performance slots at the 2007 Ball for SonicBids submissions.”
The 2007 event will also feature dancers from Chippendale's, an arts installation with the theme Make Love, Not War, and a customized
Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Animation Festival, with Spike himself creating the all-star lineup for the occasion, mixing his favorite erotic classics with new never-before-seen shorts.
Through its unique combination of mixing live mainstream musical, burlesque, and circus performances with political irreverence, humorous hijinks, and the outright bizarre - the Exotic Erotic Ball has delighted and regaled over half a million attendees and participants over its highly acclaimed history. Celebrity guests and performers have included Grace Jones, Joan Jett, Kool & the Gang, Chris Isaak, Madonna, Sugar Ray, Dennis Rodman, Ron Jeremy, Motorhead, The Tubes, the Allman Brothers, and Everclear.

APPENDIX TO RELEASE: THE HISTORY OF THE BALL
Perry Mann organized the first Exotic Erotic Ball in 1979 to raise campaign funds for his buddy, the late Louis Abolafia, who was running for President with the Nudist Party under the slogan: “I have nothing to hide.” Louis is credited with coining the phrase, “Make Love, Not War” and his legendary Greenwich Village love-ins inspired the New York press to crown him “The Love King.”
Since its first year, more than 500,000 people have attended the Ball. The City of San Francisco has issued three proclamations for “Exotic Erotic Ball Day,” twice by former Mayor Willie Brown (in 1999 and again in 2001), and once by current Mayor Gavin Newsom (in 2004).
Celebrity guests and performers have included Grace Jones, Joan Jett, Kool & the Gang, Chris Isaak, Madonna, Sugar Ray, Dennis Rodman, Ron Jeremy, Motorhead, The Tubes, Everclear, Nina Hartley. In 2001, Mann (with Foreword by Dennis Rodman) released the book: The Exotic Erotic Ball: Twenty Years of the World's Sexiest Party . In 2004, Mann introduced the Exotic Erotic Expo, which grew into a two-day event in 2005 .
“The premise to the Ball has always been simple,” says Mann. “We give people a safe haven to act out their fantasies - within the law, of course. We attract men and women of all ages, heterosexuals, gays, lesbians, and transsexuals. We welcome students, teachers, lawyers, stockbrokers, secretaries, doctors, nurses, and - of course - members of Congress. At our San Francisco Ball, people not only come from all over the Bay Area, but about a third of our crowd comes from outside California entirely. There was a time when many events were independently produced, and developed a following based upon having regard for their audience, providing quality content, and invoking a spirit of respect and camaraderie; I am not sure that is so true today. People who attend this event know it doesn't matter who you are, what you do, or where you're from – at the Exotic Erotic Ball, everyone's a star!”
Over the past quarter-century, the Ball has evolved from local to world-renowned legend. It celebrates human sexuality, promotes freedom of expression, and has raised innumerable funds in support of many worthy charities, thus fostering strong ties to the community. The Ball is an ardent and vocal supporter of First Amendment Rights. Among its other causes have been AIDS, domestic violence, child abuse, homelessness, and problems of the inner city. It hosts an annual blood drive with Blood Centers of the Pacific.
‘Make Love, Not War' was once the rallying cry of a generation,” adds Perry Mann. “Yet I don't think that message has ever been timelier than it is today, and I don't think our show has ever been more topical either. We are going to make sure that the 2007 Exotic Erotic Ball and Expo is a very special event.”
