Super Bowl Stars No Doubt Workout At The Village Studios Gridiron.
February 17, 2003 Los Angeles, California
Following up on the success of their smash-hit CD, Rock Steady, multi-platinum
pop-ska-rockers No Doubt
recorded tracks at The Village Studios prior to their charismatic 2003 Super
Bowl half-time performance. No
Doubt, who also shared their Super Bowl stage for one song with Sting,
performed for gazillions of television viewers around the world. But their fan
base at The Village Studios was significantly smaller, being joined by über-producer
Glen Ballard best known for his chart-topping work with Alanis Morissette
and Dave Matthews engineer Scott Campbell, and assistants Ok Hee Kim
and Darren Frank.
According to one anonymous Village Studios representative, No Doubts
Super Bowl performance carried the ball far better than the Oakland Raiders.
(There has been no confirmation to rumors that Gwen Stefani will replace Oakland
Raider Barret Robbins).
