Lucid Mechanism Releases Six Song Digital EP, Eponymous November 22, 2010, San Francisco, CA – Dark Wave/ElectroSynth-Pop outfit Lucid Mechanism, the brainchild of musician and digital deviant, Timo Preece, is proud to announce the release of its debut, six song digital EP, Eponymous. Lucid Mechanism, comprised of Preece and classically-trained vocalist/songwriter, Sarah Tancer, which features a modulating roster of prodigal back-up musicians and technology, creates a sonic experience that gracefully abuses the preconceptions of electronic music.
Stylistically expansive in nature, the Lucid Mechanism musical alchemy of structure, technology, fluidity and humanity casts its spell with dark rhythms and ethereal melodies. The six song set ebbs and flows through genres such as Synth Pop, Industrial, Dark Wave, Minimal, Ambient, and Experimental, drawing on such influences including, but not limited to, Portishead, Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Lady Tron, Trentemøller, and Nine Inch Nails. Lucid Mechanism will be performing in San Francisco at Silicon Valley Rocks 2010*, Wednesday, December 1, 2010, Great American Music Hall, http://svrocks.com Lucid Mechanism began as an experiment after Timo relocated to San Francisco from Toyko in 2004 where he was freelancing as an audio specialist with leading international recording and multi-media artists. As Timo developed Lucid Mechanism into an innovative, live performance musical project, he simultaneously forged a respected career in the audio industry as a certified trainer in audio technologies at leading Bay Area educational institutions Ex’pression College, Pyramind Studios, and Electronic Creatives.
