Dream Theater’s Jordan Rudess Will Perform at Stanford University – ONE NIGHT ONLY April 28, 2010 - Standford University, CA: Dream Theater’s legendary keyboardist, Jordan Rudess, is coming to Stanford University for One Night Only to perform in a FREE concert, Thursday, April 29th, at 8 p.m! The Stanford Laptop Orchestra (SLOrk) and Mobile Phone Orchestra (MoPho) Chamber Music Program 2010, features free concerts of music composed and performed by the students of Stanford’s Center for Computer Music Research and Acoustics Department (CCRMA), on laptop computers, iPhones, iPads and other revolutionary computer instruments. Jordan Rudess joins SLOrk as a special guest soloist and participant. The event will take place at the CCRMA Stage, The Knoll, at Stanford University and it will begin at 8pm. Jordan Rudess will perform select original pieces on the Eigenharp, iPad, iPhone and Roland keyboards. Jordan Rudess first gained national exposure when the readers of Keyboard Magazine voted him 1994’s Best New Talent in the Overall Best Keyboardist category after his first solo release Listen. Since 1999, Jordan has been an integral member of and creative driving force behind Dream Theater, the most critically acclaimed progressive hard rock band in the world.
